Planning the scatter plot

• Draw a scatter plot.
  • Draw the axes.
    • Draw the x-axis.
      • Draw the line.
      • Label the axis.
      • Choose a scale for the values.
    • Draw the y-axis.
      • Draw the line.
      • Label the axis.
      • Choose a scale for the values.
  • Plot the points.
    • Read the data (x, y) pairs.
    • For each pair:
      • Find where it belongs on the x and y axis.
      • Draw a small dot at that position.
  • Add finishing touches.
    • Add axis names.
    • Check that all points and labels are visible and clear.
