From f84554157ea628982536f349a25b9929c60c1197 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: juddin2 Date: Sun, 5 Oct 2025 22:40:00 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] I wrote the codes for x-axis and y-axis code. This went well for me because I copied the x-axis code from making with code website and for the y-axis I wrote a similar code put just changed anythinh in the code related to x-axis to y-axis. Additionally, for the scatterplot function, i just copied and pasted parts of x-axis and y-axis codes under the scatterplot function.My thinking might have been wrong for this part but when i ran it in turtle it worked. --- scatterplot.py | 23 ++++++++++++++++++++++- 1 file changed, 22 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/scatterplot.py b/scatterplot.py index 50f66fb..fcec6cd 100644 --- a/scatterplot.py +++ b/scatterplot.py @@ -35,10 +35,31 @@ def draw_scatterplot(data, size=5, color="black"): def draw_axes(data): "Draws the scatter plot's axes." + draw_x_axis() + x_values = get_x_values(data) + xmin, xmax = bounds(x_values) + ticks = get_tick_values(xmin, xmax) + for tick in ticks: + screen_x_position = scale(tick, xmin, xmax, 0, constants.PLOT_WIDTH) + draw_x_tick(screen_x_position, tick) + draw_y_axis() + y_values = get_y_values(data) + ymin, ymax = bounds(y_values) + y_ticks = get_tick_values(ymin, ymax) + for tick in y_ticks: + screen_y = scale(tick, ymin, ymax, 0, constants.PLOT_HEIGHT) + draw_y_tick(screen_y, tick) def draw_points(data, color, size): "Draws the scatter plot's points." - + x_values = get_x_values(data) + y_values = get_y_values(data) + xmin, xmax = bounds(x_values) + ymin, ymax = bounds(y_values) + for x, y in data: + screen_x = scale(x, xmin, xmax, 0, constants.PLOT_WIDTH) + screen_y = scale(y, ymin, ymax, 0, constants.PLOT_HEIGHT) + draw_point(screen_x, screen_y, color, size) with no_delay(): data = generate_data(50, 10, 500, 5, 400, 1000) draw_scatterplot(data, size=5, color="blue")
